Can someone identify this species too? It looks similar to the previous pic I posted, but it is a different fish and they have a few differences.

It definitely looks like a Labidochromis maybe joanjohnsonae.

You're right, the face definitely looks more labidochromis to me

I was actually thinking that it was something from the Pseudotropheus complex. All of the L. joanjohnsonaen that i've come across usually have a distinct black mark on the dorsal (even the females). But who knows? It could be a hybrid.

Where did this fish come from?

Hmm. idk. def mbuna rather than "hap". But the head doesn't say lab to me, no black stripe on dorsal or dark ventral fins, but faded vertical bars up into the dorsal. Maybe just the plain 'ol blue zebra, Metriaclima estherae

The dorsal fin isn’t fully extended but it seems there could be a faint black line under the white edge.

Maybe the "ice blue" greshakei. the egg spots in the dorsal and anal fins line up. I see a broken line in the dorsal and most labidos have solid lines. But not all do.
