Most of you know I love Rams almost as much as discus and have been very successful breeding them. I've struggled with EB though. I've finally got something going though. I decided to work on a EB x Gold cross. My first cross was with a EB male and a Gold female. I kept my favorite female from the cross and am now crossing her back to a male EB. I really love this female. Depending on the light she looks very much a gold but when she turns in the light the blue pops out and she also has some great speckling. I now have two spawns from the pair. When I get these big enough I will select out the best and decide what the next move should be. Crossing the siblings or back to the EB again. Here are a couple of pics and a vid.

Gorgeous, Larry. I've never had luck with Rams..blue, gold, or otherwise...

EB and gold are both recessive right? Wouldnt you want to cross double hets to each other to get 1/16 that are both EB and gold?

I have a bunch of those. I picked up a few crosses at one of the meetings. Put them into a tank with some Golds and EB. I had 2 pairs form unexpectedly: Cross MaleXEB Female, Gold maleXCross female. Both pairs spawned at the same time in opposite ends of the tank. When fry were free swimming, the first pair stole the fry from the second and raised both spawns together themselves. Needless to say, for their own safety, I moved everyone, other than the Pygmy Cories and Otos out. They are now about 3 months old. Most of these guys look like they'll be golds. Can't tell for sure yet. One thing though, unlike my GBR and Gold pairs, these parents got it right the first time (no eating eggs/wigglers/fry) and w/o bickering.
They took turns with baby duties. Very fun to watch.
I had a huge spawn of EB at the same time (maybe a week apart). Maybe, I'll try breeding them back to the hybrids and see what happens, too. When I get better pics. I'll post some of the parents and off spring.
I love Rams, too. I especially like GBRs. Their German name: Schmetterlingsbarsch is way more appropriate - Butterfly Ram. They are colorful like a butterfly.
