View Full Version : looking for a foreground plant with some color

I have a 36 bow front with 48 watts of T5 lighting. I have the back and middle of my tank pretty well planted for now (waiting on things to grow in some and see how it all looks) Every thing I have in there now is some shade of green. I would like to put some thing up front that will stay low to the ground, a vine that will run along the gravel or some thing with broad leaves that grows more out then up. The really big thing is I would like it to have some other colors to it (not green). Any input would be great.

I know of very few non-green foreground plants. You're better off finding some colorful mid and background plants to contrast with a green foreground.

E. Tennelus if you experienced. Under bight light with good substrate and good frtilization it will turn red/pink. Also under high light b. japonica will stat to bronze up.

To grow foreground plants with color generally requires a high tech setup
