Just wanted to say hello. I am 34 from the upstate of SC. There is barely any club activity up my way so I am joining up with you guys.

I've kept FW for 20+ years. Right now I'm running about a dozen tanks. I keep a big african cichlid tank in the living room. Other than that I breed CRS, Guppies, Kribs, a couple planted nano tanks, and have several high end plakat bettas around as well.

Recently I've been introducing my daughter to the hobby with her first community tank. Tiger barbs, kuhli loach, corys etc... Its been a rollercoaster going thru the you dont want glofish talks and dealing with overfeeding and playing with the heater etc... but shes getting the idea.

Thanks for having me, and I look forward to chatting with you guys and gals

Howdy! Is the krib not the perfect fish?

If you are up for a little drive, we have our monthly meeting on the 7th at the Fernbank Science Center (not museum of natural history, two different but nearby places) at 1:30. It is election time, so we will have a ballot for the members to elect the board, then a speaker on tetras, and a mini auction.

lol on the 'talk about glofish'. we need to educate the next generation that we can find awesome fish without genetic engineering....oh wait....i forgot. lots of our fish are 'aquarium variants'...ie genetic engeneering....

ha. Great group here. you should plan on coming to an auction in spring.
