I found these 3 little dots on my crypt wendtii, wondering if they are a pest of some sort or eggs...

I have guppies, Rams, 1 BN pleco and 5 Von rio tetras.

So I'm assuming it may be the tetras, however after reading online that they scatter eggs not attach them to something I'm suspicious....

Do you happen to have any nerite snails in this tank?

No snails in the tank, other than a few tiny pest snails...

But the nerites need saltwater to hatch so there should be no babies mixed in the plants right?

On the other hand I did just get this plant a week ago, there might have been nerites in the tank....

I looked up pictures on Google, and they are indeed snail eggs. Mystery solved! And I was getting all excited about my tetras:(

Definitely look like nerite eggs to me.

Tetra eggs are extremely tiny and transparent. Unless you see your fish spawning, you will never know there are eggs in the tank and the parents will eat them. You need a spawning mop or grass patch for some of them to make it.

That's what I thought, I may try it someday...

Thanks!
