Anyone know what this little guy is? He was listed as a "pleco." :smile:
Appears to be a sailfin, but the body markings are different from the pictures I've seen of common sailfins. That fin is ALWAYS fully extended.

You may have a Leopard Sailfin. I used to want one. Can you measure him?

He's only about 4" long right now.

I was hoping he was smaller. You have an oddball. I still think he is a Leopard Sailfin though.

Agreed... Colombian/Leopard Sailfin pleco. Very similar to common plecos. Most of the time at pet-stores you find them sold with the true common plecos. A lot of the wholesalers/distributors don't bother to separate them. Similar diet to the common pleco as well. They get 15-24" in size. Should be kept in a 55g aquarium or larger.

From what I can see in the pictures that is a common yes.
