I'll keep this as short and sweet as I can- my husband and I had gotten into the hobby together. We lived with my parents, had every spare space in our bedroom filled with tanks- big fresh and salt. We had a baby and had to downsize. Then, we moved into a small townhouse, had another baby and had to downsize further, to one tank. It was a salt water with some coral and a clownfish. Our clown, that we'd had for almost 3 years, passed away and we broke down the tank. My husband was heartbroken.
We've moved, again, into a bigger house and we're (mostly me, bc I'm home all the time) ready to get back into it! We've gotten a small tank going with some goldfish my son won at a school fair. I'm setting up our 30 gallon today to get it to start cycling. I think I want to set that one up as a cichlid tank, maybe. I've always wanted German blue Rams or shell dwellers.

That's kinda it in a nutshell. Here's a pic of our little tank.

Welcome back into the hobby. It can become addicting. Rams are always nice and there are several people within the group who have them.

Welcome back to you both! If y'all are free next Saturday, come on out to our meeting! We're having a presentation on Livebearers, kicking off a new breeding contest, and will have a mini auction with a bunch of fish, plants, and aquarium related dry goods.

Unfortunately, my husband is working and I can't get childcare. My kids are 3 and 1 and wild. I'd love to try to come to meetings, though!

Thank you! That's great! Do you mind if I ask where you got them?

I fell in love with them the first time I ever saw one!

Ive gotten them in a few places but would recommend Premier Aquatics. The manager is a member here and they pretty meticulously take care of the store. I was there today and they have a few. You can also post a wanted ad in the for sale forum here, I'm sure there are some members with some to spare

Welcome! I like the aquascape in the goldfish tank!

Rams are one of my favorite fish, I'm currently growing out a group of GBR and EBR and will have some available in 1-2 weeks.

I saw that you left a message about a tank, too, but I can't find it. Would you mind emailing me the details? ] my phone is having issues loading things from the app and I don't have a computer.
