I purchased six julidochromis transciptus at the spring auction. A pair formed and have been happily coexisting in a 20 long for months. Last week the female started attacking the male to the point where I had to remove him or he was going to die. Yesterday I got to see what all the fuss was about. Little tiny juli fry were zooming around the tank. So glad they spawned but no idea of I'll be able to put the male back in with the female. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170819/23959a5b5eca51b46ce04172733e64cf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170819/f2857c06e4cdfdcaf15683ad4373e6cd.jpg

Congrats! They are some of the coolest fish parents. In a larger tank, I'd say the male would be ok. That probably won't work in a 20 though.

Good to know. I have a 29 I'll move them to when these get a little larger then.

I don't know the collection point. They were a donation from premier. Not sure if they would know. I'll definitely be stacking a lot more. Right now in just used a lot of pots and few slate pleco caves.

These were definitely aggressive though. When these paired they obliterated the others. I was only able to save one. I never even found the others.
