Larry - i opened up a "photobucket" account - uploaded the pics there - and linked (using the img function) to the pictures on that site. I would have to actually try it to remember and post all of the steps - it's been a while - but recall it was fairly easy.

If someone responds with a better detailed explanation maybe we could "sticky it" - as this question comes up frequently.

Good luck.

I have my own web server and put the pictures there, but I haven't figured out how to get the link working right yet. Thought there would be an easier way right through the AAA site, but it appears not.

Use the [IMG] tags to embed pictures here, don't make them too large. But you do have to be able to see them on the web before you can point to them here. Remember to make them "public" or set the appropriate permissions in your software. Thats the one that trips me up, I upload, I link, but only I can see them.

Ok..let's try this:

Any comments or suggestions on these two tanks? First two pics are my 55 gal with flourite substrate, the third picture is my 72-bowfront with sand substrate.
Both running Fluval 404s. The 55 gal has 4 TO lights and some pumped in DIY CO2. The bowfront has a walmart color light and that's it.

I've seen these tanks in person and they look really nice, the 55g planted tank especially. I'm also amazed at how well the plants are doing in the 72g given that there's no CO2 injection and only a single Walmart fluorescent plant bulb over the tank.

Hey Larry,

for that first pic on that link you posted, the url is http://www.larryscohen.com/tankphotos_files/image007.jpg
all you need to do to show that image in the forum here is, to enclose the location of the picture in the img tags.

Like this {img} http://www.larryscohen.com/tankphotos_files/image007.jpg {/img}
Just use [] brackets instead of {}.
The same thing is true if you link to an image from photobucket or image from another site.
