Got bitten by the discus bug recently....again... Finally finished stocking my "flat fish" tank with 12x wild discus to go with 6x wild Santa Isabel angels. Started with 4x TEFE greens and 2x Cameta yellow/brown from John, then 3x Cuipeau, 2x Mangal and 1x blue Heckel from Mark. The discus are settling down nicely and most of them are very outgoing and feed aggressively on frozen black worms.

These are entry level wilds and they are all over the place in terms of collection locations. Maybe I'll do a biotope tank down the road but for now it's one big mixed group  The greens are the most active but they also seem to have somewhat funny shapes...

The tank looks great Peter. Nothing wrong with the shape of the Greens, they are know and expected to be somewhat football shaped.

Thanks guys :) Can't wait to see them color up a little.

Joe - it's 96l x 30h x 18w
Jim - you give me very bad influences!! :)
Larry - it wasn't as obvious until I added the second group, which are much rounder in shape. But as long as they are healthy and happy, I'm happy :)

Simply elegant looking Peter...just enough wood and plants to allow the fish to remain the star of the show...as they should be. That said, I'd love to see a pulled-back shot that includes the stand and canopy for this behemoth tank. :gickle:

Thanks JB :) I've given up trying to hiding the blue background.

The stand and canopy are quite plain. The good thing is that the tank is actually sitting on a steel stand, and the wood exterior can be easily taken off. It would be nice to change it to something that match the other tanks...just have to come up with the money.
