Today was talking to someone at the meeting about deficiency of KNO3 causing algae. Yeh, most say it is an imbalance of Co2 and light that causes algae but in my tank I found that it was the low amount of KNO3 that caused chronic problems with BBA.

Anyways just wanted all to know that spectride's stump remover is 100% KNO3. Read it on a MSDS of product somewhere. It can be found at Lowe's. To make it safe for fish make a solution as mentioned at http://www.rexgrigg.com/dosing.htm

Oh, nice, I was wondering about this couple days ago sins I'm running low on KNO3.
Also most algae grows because of imbalance of Micro and Macro's and co2 and/or light level to high.

My problem with BBA is, 5h of full sun shining on my tank... lol
trying to treat it with H2O2 + lots of co2
