Hello, folks. Here is one of my tanks

TANK: 125g (72x18x24)

FILTERATION: FX5

LIGHTING: 2x Tek 36". Bulbs: 2x Giesemann Middays and 2x Flora bulbs

SUBSTRATE: ADA AquaSoil New Amazonia. Normal and Powder types.

HARDSCAPE: Mountain scape. Stone i collected locally

FAUNA: 50 cardinal tetras. 20 Amono shrimp. 5 otos cats. Nerites. Ramshorms

FLORA: HC, DHG, Fiss, and Blyxa

I apologize for the poor picture quality. I am the furtherest thing from a photographer.

I have always been intrigued with mountain scapes, so i decide to go that route on this rescape. I just love the look of flowing grass-like carpeting plants littered with stones.

No, I am much less a photographer. That picture looks very good, and the scape is excellent. Can't wait to see it with a little more plant growth.

thank you

well, actually there are 3 different ground cover plants.

DHG, dwarf hair grass, in the middle back
HC,Hemianthus Callitrichoides , all across the front, bright green
Fissidens fontanus, on both ends, right and left. I attached it to 2"x2" SS mesh squares to make it a carpet of moss. I also diced it up and attached it to rock surfaces during the DSM.

It seems somebody on TPT has copied you ;-)
Is all that Fiss in the right side corner from those 3 mats we bought ? If so , how the heck did you grow it that fast ?

i tore it down.

i started with cichlid tanks some 25 years ago. And i miss them. So i am making this tank into a heavily plants and DW laden rivier bank to house a group of checkerboards and LARGE group or 2 of schooling tetras

ugh. what did you pay for shipping? i bought my last bag from frank weizner in tx but he is no longer in the business. i love ada aquasoil but i can't get more unless i am willing to spend twice as much for shipping :( ... so sad. i wish i could find a retailer closer.

Seriously Chad, you ought to do this for a consulting business. You can experiment on my 96x40 tank if you want ;)
