I know a fair amount of people on here keep angels. I was just wondering...

If I get them when they are small enough, tank raised, never had live food....would a few angels be ok in a 55 gallon tank with 5-6 adult guppies that are between 2-3"? As in, would the guppies fin nip the angels or vise versa? Or would the angels try to eat the guppies?

They angels will eat guppy fry and possibly the males (they are smaller) once they reach full size. Growing up together is not a protection. I tried that with neons and once an angel figured out they were bite size, all the neons were gone in a week.

I would discourage you from mixing angels and guppies. Guppies do best in harder, more alkaline water.
