hey all,
I got two of these apisto's as agassizii. they were wild caught and new to the tank. listed as a pair, separate tanks. they have matured into the same coloration and appear to both be female. i would like some clarification on the sex and species of this apisto please. thanks so much.21632164

They almost look like gibbiceps but I can't see any blue sparkles on the cheek band...

I would say agazzissi is correct and they do look like two females.

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. How long do I jar one? Minutes. Hours. Days. Air stone? Thanks.

they are definitly agassizi and apear to be 2 females. Females ventral fins are black at the base .The males lack this black coloring and the ventrals are much longer.Gibiceps have 4-5 distinct vertical bars from mid body and aft.
