I went from the HIGH tech Mountian scape to this medium-ish tech cichlid tank.

TANK: 125g (72x18x24)

FILTERATION: FX5

LIGHTING: 2x Tek 36". Bulbs: 1x Giesemann Middays and 1x Flora bulbs

SUBSTRATE: ADA AquaSoil New Amazonia. Normal and Powder types.

HARDSCAPE: Locally collected driftwood and stones

FAUNA: 12 cardinal tetras. GBR. Blue Angels. 4 peppered otos cats. horned Nerites.

FLORA: DHG. MM. hydro vert. trident fern. c. balansae. c nurii. c. hudorio. c. metallic red. cyperus helferi. mini fiss. mini x-mas moss. mini pellia. hygro pinn

Thx. I actually found all that DW and the stones in and around lake Alatoona


visually stunning cannot wait to see it after a few months of growth. I will definitely be following this tank.

Personally, I'm liking the addition of the spider...adds a natural element you don't normally see. Beautiful tank, Chad!

yup thats a spider. I dig him there actually. I don't mind him at all.

Hey, Chad, a crappy updated pic is way better than no pic at all! Thanks for posting. I really like your tank.

I bought five of Larry Bugg's quarter-size angels a couple of years ago, though I only had a 20 gallon long set up, thinking that I'd get my 75 gallon tank out of the basement when the time came. Life intervened, and I wound up letting the angels go at last fall's auction. I'm glad yours have plenty of room to grow!
