I want to get started breeding bristle nose plecos but want to make sure I'm sexing them correctly.
I know I have a male as he is huge and his bristles are nice and long. See photo 3585

I have read mixed information about females and bristles. Do they have bristles? If so, are they shorter and less numerous? I will attach a picture of the fish in question. THanks for all the help. Ben Schilling

They both appear male to me. I'm no expert though.

They are both males. Females can have bristles but they are shorter and only around the mouth, never up the nose.
