Thread: Anyone Willing To Adopt Some Guppies & Platys?

  1. #1

Lol Anyone Willing To Adopt Some Guppies & Platys?

I had to separate the males from the females after watching a mother Guppy (she mates with the male guppies???) 765432 gave birth 2nd time in less than 2 months. 10 survived from the first batch, and it looks like 6 to 7 survived this time. Already have about 5 baby Platys, and I only have a 10 gallon tank. All I wanted was just a community of 10 tropical fish, but now, I got a tank of over 25. Not kidding. See for yourself.

Someone pleeease show some love. I live in the Warner Robins, Georgia area.

Very common with live bearers. Female Mollies and Platies can store sperm for months at a time and may use it to fertilize many batches of egg before ever needing another male around. Once they start it usually a batch of fry at least once a month.

If you do find anyone to take them we re-home fish here at Premier Aquatics. Although there will be credit on platies and common guppies.

Didn't know that, considering that they don't look anything alike. Thanks.

You are too far away from me or I would take some of the fry.
