Aging Sword Plant?
I have a glorious sword plant that has taken over the center of my 33 gallon bowfront community tank. It's been doing swell, but lately, I have seen yellowing areas of leaves with black (or even missing) centers. Help, I am dumb about plants. Micronutrient deficiency?

I occasionally dose with Seachem Excel, and the substrate is primarily sand. Can I add something to the water to help, or should I try root tabs?

Swords are root feeders so root tabs would be a good start. I also add flourish complete and trace in addition to excel.

LOL. It has a table with symptoms to possible causes.

This happened to a flame sword and so I pruned the damaged leaves. It made the whole thing shrink by half height but it looked nice. It takes a lot to keep them so tall.
