    What is happening here

This is just on one side. The fish is swimming fine and breathing fine. And this is one half of a pair that has laid their 4 set of eggs.

Did she run into something real hard?

she might have. She chases everyone else pretty aggressively. I do not know of A particular instance.

What makes you ask that question?

I remember hearing a while back about a fish turning half black because of them ramming the glass hard, took a little bit to get better but clean water and low stress fixed it.

That is exactly what it looks like to me.

Oh, do you guys think this a neurological issue, like a concussion? I know that the degree of darkness fish have is partly related to the amount of sunlight they are detecting, wonder if that got stuck 'on' for that part of the body by the collision.

Have had this happen to other species of fish.Might be stress related but the fish usually does not recover and slowly loses appitite and withers away

I have had to move her to a hospital tank. She is head standing or swimming flat next to the output of the HOB. She is hardly eating.
I have treated her with Pimafix for a week and she is status quo. I tried upping the tank temp and doing salt before thata and that did not seem to improve anything over 4 days. I have Furan-2 and methalyne blue. I am not sure what to do.

She has also developed 2 spots on her dorsal fin. PIC ATTACHED. any advice or other meds to try would be welcomed.

Tricaine might be a good option right about now.

DUDE! really, why are you advocating killing my discus? There has to be other medical options. She has been an active egg bearer and I would really like to find other medical options before I put her down.
