All my nerite snail get shell holes in the center when they are about .5 inches. Has anyone solved this problem??

Sounds like a calcium deficiency. In the water and / or foods.

I have a 40g. I will try two drops of sea chem Calcium a month. Think that’s enough?

I use carbon. Will it take it out the calcium I add?

Not sure what the recommended dosing would be for a FW tank. Do you measure your Ca?

No. It won't.

I keep cuttlebone in my filter box to add calcium to the tank for shrimp and snails. I also throw the small pieces that break off when cutting it into about quarter size pieces into the tank.
My nerites really colored up nicely once I started doing this.

Okay that's just about enough! Being cost conscious, thinking outside of the box and crossing the fauna boundaries for a solution is just way too much for one post!
Seriously though, great suggestion.
