    Native Fish Collecting Outing

NANFA is hosting a field trip for AAAA on Saturday April 13. This will be an opportunity to get out in local waters and see out native species right here in Atlanta. We will meet at Panola Shoals on the South River. This is just outside the perimeter on the east side of Atlanta. Please contact Michael Wolfe if you are going to be able to attend.

I was collecting with MW and others today in John's Creek. Really nice specimens found, many of which were added to the Autrey Mill Nature Center display tank. Amazing to see what resides in our waters.

We had a pretty good outing yesterday. The weather was perfect and the water was cool and clear. We started in what turned out to be the wrong spot, but eventually found out where all the fish were! Had 14 species before the day was over and plenty of the species that people were looking for (for example, red shiners).

Jealous! I was trapped at home.
